Rice Diet, Anyone?

I've just gotten a new pair of zebras from a friend this weekend. I requested seeds from him as well but he wasn't able to bring it. I don't have stocks of food for the finches so for two days now I've only been giving them cooked white rice. The thing is I might not be able to buy bird seeds until later this week.

Is the rice diet Ok? What else inside our ref can I feed them for the meantime?

If you have eggs you can give them mashed boiled egg. Broccoli, ground carrot, romaine, kale, collard greens, slice of apple, corn, ground peas, cucumber ..... Anything would help to supplement the rice.
