Can you serve the Sukses Breeding and Conditioning food dry?....I've tried adding water but it gets quite sticky?....Any information would be appreciated...

Never tried this brand before, but the eggfoods that I serve storebought are always dry. Do they mention on the label if it can be served wet or dry.

I too find the store-bought egg foods to be very dry. I mix them with my hard boiled eggs and pre-soaked soakseed.

The label has no instuctions on it....The breeder I got it from mixes vegetables and vitamins in with it and serves it wet, but I am looking for a better way to save wasting any

I am a little scared about soaking seed....I did try it but only had vinegar to use as an antibacterial and found I didn't have much luck with the seeds sprouting, and I needed to rinse them 3-4 times a day to keep them moist..I have a sprouter container ...The seeds were more wet than sprouted.....Are the seeds as beneficial when only wet and not sprouting?

I use ACV (apple cider vinegar) as an antibacterial and soak my soakseed for approx 24 hours. 99% of the seed does NOT sprout for me. I only want to soak and soften the seeds. Then I rinse it well and drain it even better and add to my hard boiled eggs. I've been doing this for a couple of years and all my finches flock to it and raise their chicks on it.

Do you soak a specific type of seed or the regular seed mix that is fed dry?....The seed I get is from a breeder and is his own mix....I don't know what types it includes...

I buy "soakseed" by Moores in Ontario. I also purchase their VitaFinch seed.

I buy a product called Germix by Abba. It is seed that has already been soaked, then quick dried. You just soak it for 10 minutes to moisten and soften it and feed. Way easier than soaking your own. Very expensive, but it goes a long way when you only have 4 birds and only feed about a teaspoon a day.

I used to soak my seed, then shake moisture out of it and freeze it. But now that I've found the Germix, I'd never bother to soak my own!

I buy the dry commercial CeDe eggfood from a local bird supply store, and I always feed it just dry. My gouldians just love it.
