mealworm farm

Post by Beenau » Tue Apr 26, 2011 7:11 pm

I have been purchasing mealworms from American Cricket Ranch in Lakeside California and I have been very pleased with the price and shipping methods. They ship them in plastic containers so they are not all over the place. The question I have how can I start my own mealworm farm? Is this something that is easy to do and does not cost alot to upkeep the mealworms. Thanks Debbie

Easy to do if you have the time and patience of sifting and going through beetles/worm transfers. The concept is fairly easy and totally doable for anyone, the reason why most people don't bother farming their own mealworms is because it's a very tedious job.

As mentioned above, youtube has many tutorial guides on how to farm em.
