Are fresh strawberries okay for finches?

Same here. I've tried but they didn't touch it. They sometimes nibble on a bit of apple and orange, though. But don't really like fruit.
It sure is safe though and worth a try.

A word of caution...strawberries are one of the fruits recently to contain higher amounts of pesticides. For humans rinsing well is best but for birds I suggest organic.

Food/veggies/fruit are approved for human use not pet use...so extra washing or organic might be a good thing to keep in mind.

Thanks for those links Cindy! Very good info for my own health as well!
They are organic, so I think I'm gonna try them out. My zebras will usually try anything once!

I know my hookbills loved them and sweet seedless grapes cut in half. (organic of course!! ) I have not tried strawberries on the finches but they like romaine with grated carrot a lot. I did try oranges but they were not fond of them. (but the house smelled great)

I use the ones from our garden. Nothing bad there. Except slugs.....
