Powdered kelp...

Post by H2015 » Sat Jan 19, 2008 9:55 am

Is it alright to provide powdered kelp in a finger drawer?

I noticed that my birds do enjoy it every now and then and since my gouldians are shedding feathers and one is already molting, I'm trying to avoid iodine deficiencies to help them with their molt.

From what I've read, some people offer it free choice in a finger drawer, others mix it in with their minerals free choice. I offer mine free choice, I figure if they need it, they will eat it.

I also offer it free choice in all of my gouldian cages.
