Kinda a coincidence that I just saw this post and gave my birds a couple of pieces a hour ago.

They seem to have absolutely no interest in it but it is kinda late in the day.

If your birds like apples, they will probably like watermelon because the tastes and textures are similar. I have never read anything about watermelon being poisonous to birds, so I it's probably okay. :D

I had a Gray that loved watermelon, he would hold a sliver of it like a kid with a popsicle, licking it and munching on it.

It is high in water content, it might be refreshing on a hot day just watch they don't over indulge it could give them loose stools (extra water).

Save me a slice!!!!

My Zebbies love it. I leave about 1" of the pink on the rind and give them the rind as the base. They eat the pink and leave the white and the rind.
