Just go head and order more cages just for the heck of it!!
You don't need an excuse. Having finches is so additive just admit you have a sickness like most of us do! Do you have bird marts up there in Ontario? Cages are generally very inexpensive there. I bought a 18"x 18" x 30" cage for $27 no tax.

I don't think our birdshows are the same as your birdmarts. I have 8 cages of 30x18x18 and I paid close to $300 for all of them (2 orders) and had to order them from California! I don't think I have room for a lot more finches - just as well I guess - too many other things to spend my pennies on.
