Waxworms
Glad that it's been hard to find mealworms otherwise I wouldn't have tried to offer waxworms.! First time that my Gouldians have taken to live food.
From the refridgerator, they are motionless....after they warm up, they move around non-stop. They are very soft, and as I can imagine, easier to eat.

You can normally get the wax worms from Grubco but I looked on ther site and they are out of stock at this time I guess because of mealworm shortage but I don't know for sure. have you called them any more for mealworms?

Yes and they said it would be a few weeks before having any. They are apparently running short of everything! Waxworm, fly larva, mealsworms, etc.... I guess it is the ripple effect.

White worm cultures are available from Connie Gahman at http://mysite.verizon.net/vze3ft62/wings/. It may be too hot to ship them now, though, as they like cool weather.
