If you have a chemical-free yard with lots of weeds, chickweed and dandelions are great.
I was wondering about the dandelion greens, I have zillions in my yard so I will try that later today, I will just wash them first, but I don't put chemicals on my grass so it should be ok Great news! Thanks :)

@Musetta Welcome to the forum!!!!!!!

My Zebras LOVE Cucumbers. I just slice them and they eat the seeds and leave a little donut like Lisa said :D

I take a large leaf of Romaine and clip it up high next to a perch and let them pick at it, you can see little beak marks where they have pecked at it. They LOVE Spinach, but I learned from Debbie about the dangers and I really don't offer it very often. They don't like apple, but LOVE watermelon. When I give them Kale, I chopped it up fine with a knife.

And of course, they periodically get eggfood as they are not breeding at the moment

Nanajennie thanks for your input! After reading so many posts about cucumber, I will have to get some for them! We don't ever have any as I don't like the taste. So I haven't given them any yet, but I'll give it a try.

Recently I started soaking quinoa overnight, in the morning I rinse it well and drain it well, add finely grated peeled carrot and shaved broccoli tops. My finches love it as do my hookbills.
