Hi Debbie and fhgwgads-{don't see your name so I call you by he account name showing :)}

You guys are so nice and helpful, thank you for that !
I take care my finches very well, but still a lot more to learn :)
Sometime I care for them more than myself, when I got up in the morning first thing is to feed them,clean water dishes and if no time I clean the paper litter every 2-3days. I take care of them before eat my breakfast lol!

David I do the same! My babies always come first! But they deserve it seeming as how they for one cannot do it for themselves and two they bring me such enjoyment! And by the way my name is Ashley.. I should really add it to my profile signature but I am running out of room! It would save a lot of confusion especially since my username isn't an easy one, lol.

Also if you look under my post (or anyone else's) on the left side at the bottom next to the faces it has a button that says [@u]. You can click that on a person's post to tag their name in your post and it will notify them that you are mentioning then in your post.

Hi David! I read your thread, and it sounds like in the meantime, until you get them to eat the pellets, you will want a solution to the seed mess. I hated the open dishes for seeds because of the mess.

I have switched over to using these really amazing feeders called Vacation Feeders. They are awesome, and my cages are much cleaner, as well as the floor around them..

Good Luck!

Hi Ashley and Jennie,
Thanks for your replies! Ashley, I agreed that I really enjoyed them, especially when they chirp and sing for you :) also they jump and fly in the cage, I am happy when see they are happy. Sorry was kinda new to the forum for only nearly 3weeks, don't know a lot about where to find profile for other users yet lol! I was busy in school daily but took care my finches very well so far and try to keep them healthy too, lot of work for me.
Jennie, I know what are you are talking about when open seed container is a messy! Which same to my finches, they love the containers but just poop inside sometime too. I bought the vacation containers before, it's good no messy, the only problem is when the seed came down they ate it, but the seed-shells still in the container:/ since they eat like a kid and don't care where they should put the them lol! :roll: Then I have to get all the ones that was being ate (seed shells/hull) and so they can see more seeds coming down from container! Anyway you can make the seeds come out automatically when we are not at home? One time I came home my finches called me so loud (sounds like they are hungry and want food) and I immediate take out the shells and so they can see more food coming down, omg silly finches!:)
