If it works for you don't change........I did that once and I lost a couple of birds. No more. I do what I feel is right for my Ladies and other can do the same for theirs. I have over 100+ healthy Lady Gouldians even a few Blues......So I must be doing something right. By the way the past 3 breedings all of my chicks were parent raised........It takes a while but keep at it and all will settle down.
Happy Birding......<><

That's makes perfect sense, Marigold... if it ain't broke - don't fix it.

Though I'm always open minded to tweak things for improvement. :)

I use whey protein, creatine, and L-glutamine...opps, you meant for my birds.

well, i give my guy: baked and ground eggshells, ornalite, and a feather conditioning supplement that i add to the seed mix. oh yea, i also give him a water based iodine supplement 2-3 times per week.

actually, does anybody know if that sounds like too much iodine?

Mine get liquid iodine once a week but they also have a little powdered kelp mixed in their seed.
