RCCB Diet (red cheeked cordonbleus)

Post by cordonbleu87 » Wed Jan 21, 2015 2:24 pm

Can someone help me with details of both breeding and austerity diet for red cheeked cordonbleus? There's isn't much information out there on the web. Or maybe I couldn't locate one site yet.

If you don't want them to breed, then I would say a good finch seed mix, a good mineral mix, veggies/egg food/spray millet as treats. When you want to bring them into breeding condition, then up the egg food to every day, with freeze-dried bloodworms added to the egg food to bring up the protein level. Giving them live mini mealworms will also help with breeding, as many CBs won't feed their young without live food. Sprouted/chitted seed is also good for them. Make sure they have a good source of calcium, such as egg shells. Spray millet every day.
