hand raising Help please asap

Had some crimsons fledge today,One has a crook leg and was being neglected.So I took it out and am trying to finish feeding it by hand,If it lives.
My question is at that age roughly how much should I feed it and how often?
I cant find out any info as a guild.It is currently in a brooder with a parrot chick.

I feed with a flat ended toothpick and let them take however much they want. I don't measure what they eat unless I am using a pippette. I prefer toothpicks though with the smaller finches. I make the formula about a pancake batter consistency all the way through from day one to weaning. The hard part will be getting it to accept you feeding it at this point. Good luck!!

The chick didnt make it

.It was always going to be a big ask.further investigating after its passing,I found one leg must have been broken or somthing and mended itself,Resulting in it not being able to be straightend.

Although he didnt make it,It gave me a little experiance in hand raising.Which I would like to try in the future.

Sorry about your chick! Handraising is a lot of work but sure feels like an accomplishment when you are done. Most people can't believe I do it but I can't just let the poor thing die. I only step in when necessary. The one I am feeding now was tossed as it was hatching shell and all. I was glad I was in the room when it happened or I am not sure it would have been found. It was in my big aviary with hay as bedding. It turned two weeks old yesterday and has tons of feathers now. Good luck in the future if you decide to handraise. It really isn't too hard once you get the hang of it.
