Here is the link to the post I made showing the millet I grew this summer (this is the 3rd year I have grown my own). It seems so easy to grow as long as it has full sun everyday.

For those that grow their own millet sprays.. Have you seen any problem with wild birds contaminating the sprays you feed your domestic birds? I know I have wild/loosed finches in my area (my birds talk with them all the time) and wonder if they may pose a threat of disease or parasites.

Thanks FeatherHarp..
You make me want to look at the Millet Sprays I purchase from the Pet shops too. Am I being paranoid? Know there are no regulations, so it's probably a good idea to look them over before offering them to my 'kids'.. Geez this can get complicated.. hehe

mealworms are pretty easy to raise. Just be sure to pull the pupates (spelling?) out of the container and set them in their own enclosure until they become adults. Both the worm and adult stage will eat the pupate stage. I have done this for my reptiles for the last three years, saves a bundle of money when you have a ton of lizards to feed
