Well, I tried another white millet seed I had purchased from Dr. Foster and Smith, and it did nothing. I've got to get some fresh seed!!!

Marius Elana

Thanks. I have sprouted seeds for myself and actually have a nice jar for sprouting that makes daily rinsing very easy. I just didn't realize the birds would like to eat sprouts. My birds don't like much. I thought I was getting them to eat boiled eggs but no. They will mess around with the dried eggshells. Their food of choice is millet sprays. They have finch mix and the dried egg food treat sticks which they nibble on sporadically. I have dried greens for finches in a treat dish and just keep the fresh water coming daily. I wish they would eat something fresh so I will try this. Thank you.

Everyone,

Where have you had the best luck getting fresh seed to sprout? Anyone have a certain bird website they've used and had great success?

Thanks in advance!

Herman brothers are very good but the shipping can be expensive . Local feed stores are another good source.
