Feather Fast + Miracle Meal
I've never used Feather Fast, I wanted to give it a try during my birds' molt. It says not to mix with other vitamin containing supplements--would this include a dry eggfood such as Miracle Meal?

Re: Feather Fast + Miracle Meal
According to the manufacturer, Morning Bird Products, miracle meal does contain vitamins:
"MIRACLE MEAL™ is a complete, highly nutritious, all-natural soft food for birds and contains the correct balance of protein, carbohydrates and essential fatty acids necessary for proper growth, breeding and immune system functioning. MIRACLE MEAL™ is fortified with lactose-free whey protein and contains a full spectrum of vitamins, minerals and amino acids. MIRACLE MEAL™ is made from the highest quality human-grade food ingredients and contains no added starches, fillers or food dyes and is ethoxyquin free. MIRACLE MEAL™ is recommended for birds in all stages of development and is especially useful during the breeding and molting seasons, and for raising young chicks."

Personally, I would do one or the other, but not both at the same time, since you would be doubling up on many of the vitamins.

Sally, already answered your questions, so I'll just add my two cents worth.
Personally I save my money, and buy fresh eggs and a variety of greens, veggies, and some fruit for the kids.....
But that's just me
It all depends, if your kids are willing to eat eggs, fruts, veggies, sprouted seeds, etc.
I have never used the two products mentioned, but there are quite a few members that use these, and are happy with the results.

Re: Feather Fast + Miracle Meal
I use them both, but not together. Some days I add feather fast to the egg food, and some days Miracle Meal... I just so happen to have them both... Usually when the goulds look REAL bad like right in the middle of thier moult (or actually towards the end) and they ahve pin feathers I stick to just the feather fast cuz i feel like it's more focused on that particular thing, but my birds seem to not notice the feather fast as much as the miracle meal, but they don't comlain about either! I usually will add bee pollen too.
