Tea Time for finches
I was reading on another thread about neem tea for birds. I had read about giving ailing birds Chamomile Tea; anyone know about this?

Re: Tea Time for finches
I was thinking how twin beaks' herb salad would make a great tea for myself...
I wonder if the birds would like it?

I've used Chamomile tea for myself as it aids in digestion but not sure on using it for the birds.

Here is another reference about tea
http://www.birdsnways.com/wisdom/ww14e.htm
Taken from above link:
"CHAMOMILE—A mild tea made of this popular herb can be substituted for the drinking water of parrots when they need a calming influence. It is a wonderful natural tranquilizer which soothes the nerves and the digestive tract. As an added bonus, it contains calcium in an easily-assimilated form. This is an excellent natural alternative to tranquilizers for a parrot that is upset by traveling. "Night thrashing" in cockatiels can be treated by offering a bedtime tea of chamomile."

Hi, do you guys think that this is good for Zebra Finches? I'm getting a new finch soon and was looking for a way to make his 4h drive a bit easier.
I have two zebra finches; Mouschi, and his girlfriend, Kim.

Re: Tea Time for finches
Chamomile is commonly used for parrots who pluck or are stressed. Finches... I have heard its uses for them. But it's fascinating to learn. I commonly use it for my macaw. But can it be used for finches in the same ways it is used for parrots? If teas are able to be offered, what other teas are great to offer finches (Such as Green Tea?)?
