the best millet sprays are a golden yellow color. just hang it in the cage and it will be gone in no time

I don't usually hang mine. I find it more messy because I do find more uneaten millet seeds on the floor. So I place my at the bottom of the cage. and they love to pick on it and it would be gone in a day. they eat everything. hehe. :D

I just drop mine at the bottom of there cages and they seem to like that routine. As soon as they see me with millet spray they fly to the bottom of the cages and tear that millet spray up.

I put mine on the bottom of the cage also. They will pick at it all day and it will be completely gone in no time. When it is on the bottom of the cage they can turn it over and get to all sides of the millet.

My poor birds must be "special." They have no idea what to do with millet. Hung, on the floor, clipped to the side of the cage- no excitement whatsoever. Snobby little things. They actually prefer their veggies. Weirdos.

Happy Easter, everyone!

Question, how often do you give your finches millet spray? My Gouldies devoured it the time I hung it in their cage, but seemed to become disinterested in their main food cup with the "good stuff" (veggie and seed) in it after it.....

well when i feed them millet, they still eat regular food.

ive heard stories about a lizard that once was fed a grasshopper and then wouldnt want anything but grasshoppers. maby your goulds arent hungry since they eat the millet.

or mabey they dont like their food. did you change there food when you fed them? or mabey there just picky?

well mabey more people might come and help.

good luck

I also give it daily. I hang a grouping of about 5-6 pieces and tie them to a perch. They will pitch on the millet to eat. It is devoured, but they also eat all the other good things.
