Does anyone feed their finches herbs?
I have budgies and I have an herb garden specifically for my birds. It includes eucalyptus, basil, parsley, cilantro, sage, globe basil, and oregano. My budgies love them. Are they safe for finches? Specifically Zebras.

Yes. They love them. I have given them many times to my finches.

Thank you!

Even the eucalyptus? I know zebras come from Australia, so I thought they might like it.

i'm fairly certain that eucalyptus is toxic. There is a full list of recommended plants on the FIC website.

Eucalyptus is toxic if eaten in large quantities. I'm confident that finches wouldn't eat too much that they would die from it.

Thanks! I'll just not give them any...better safe than sorry. I'll save it for my budgies!

there are toxic plants available to the birds in the wild but they dont eat them. I have rosemary growing in my aviary and that is supposedly toxic, but I have not lost a bird because of it.
endive is a favourite of most finches
Addicted to Finches, yes I do admit it.
I pray they never find a cure.
