chia seed

Post by star » Sat Oct 03, 2009 11:39 am

Someone posted that they fed their finches chia seed. Anyone who has fed their finches chia seed can you see a difference in health and or activity of the birds? I'm sneaking it to my birds mixing it in with the seed. I have the pickiest eaters. They only want seed so I crush chlorella chia seed a little melted coconut oil and mix with the seed. The seed has a powder vit/min coating. I'm hoping the chlorella chia and coconut oil help a lot to fortify the finicky birdies diet. I still put veggies out each day. Any other ideas? And does anyone find the chia seed beneficial to their birdies? I have societies owls and gouldians.

I use coco loro and have noticed a difference in the birds appearance. Shinier feathers & they just look more well groomed. I mix it in their egg food.

okay never mind I looked it up coco loro is virgin coconut oil. I use the organic virgin coconut oil a different brand . Hopefully I will see a difference in my birds feathers too.
