Avian trio supplements?

Post by steph » Sat Feb 27, 2010 9:16 pm

I just saw this on ladygouldianfinch.com...

Does anyone have experience or opinions on this product? If feeding a well-rounded diet (seed, salad, eggfood), is this even necessary?

A really well-balanced diet shouldn't need much supplementation, but it is easy to want to use them. Just ask me, I have a cabinet full! And I don't use most of them any more.

SO true! And you have to be careful about mixing and matching different manufacturers because too much of a good thing can be very bad.

I agree with Sally. There are alot of great products out there, but can be overwhelming. Especially if your spending more time on your bird's diet than your own.

I offer very few supplements like that. I do use feather fast when my birds are molting and some trace mineral dust. Other than that, not much. Just a good diet.

I use this product and like it. I mix it with my birds sprouts once or twice a week.

I have tried feeding it as a treat and they really don't have a taste for it, so you will have to mix with something to get them to eat it.
