Thanks for sharing - there is always going to be people that agree or disagree no matter what. Pellets to me are like politics, religion and now health care!

There is a big difference between feeding a pellet-only diet, and including/supplementing pellets into a well-balanced diet.

I can't NOT feed my Mousebird Pellets.
Because she is an African Softbill I don't have access to many of the foods she would consume in the wild. I have to make do with what I have available, and that means in order to MAKE her diet balanced, I need to supplement it with low-iron softbill pellets.
If I didn't offer her the pellets, I would be depriving her of a well-balanced diet.

And that's all I gots ta say about that.

Ah... I got Eric a puppy as a surprise, and since he's been focusing on her.. I've gotten to be able to focus more on Critter than he has :D

So, yes, she likes me "more" now but still definitely prefers him. But she at least lets me scratch her through the bars and reach in and get her, before, she would flip around the cage if I tried to go near her, whereas he could reach in and she'd calmly hop into his hand. :?
