Bugaboo I have used it before and didn't lose birds. The biggest thing is you have to make sure the birds are actually drinking. The tea is extremely bitter, and some birds simply won't drink it.
I think the treatment time with the tea for ASM is weeks/months - but you'll have to confirm with Lainey.
I used it a lot when I was in NJ but when I moved and my flock increased it became more of a hassle than anything and it's not cheap :/

I used the Neem tea for almost 10 weeks last year to also stop using the Scatt and or S76 as treatments or as preventative measures for my flock.
I found that after following the directions and having Lainey coach me through the treatment my flock was left in a mess. Meaning I quickly found out that I had ASM in birds because it did not treat nor did it kill the mites, it allowed them to blatantly show themselves. After almost 10 weeks I was encouraged to stop the Neem tea immediately and to Scatt the birds and do follow up treatments with S76.
It is my opinion that the Neem doesn’t work for everyone and their flocks if at all. Lainey spends a great deal of time with her birds and changes the concentration of the tea and is available to give them fresh tea throughout the day. We also determined that when using Neem Tea for ASM’s that is important to allow them to bathe in the tea.
After my trial and error with Neem tea for ASM – I won’t use it again for such.
However, I do believe it can possibly work for some such as Lainey, it did not work for my birds. I have used Neem Tea for other issues and had great results.
So, please use caution when replacing Scatt or S76.
