I did this too - lol. I tried it again using a bit of restraint and it was a little better, but still fairly powdery. The powdery version is kind of nice sometimes...I tap it onto the seed mix in the mornings and it kind of coats them with the powder. Also offer it in a separate cup with the bigger bits and just tonight they were eating a bunch of it.
Love all this info - new to this and exploring more homemade ways to keep my birds healthy and getting the best nutrition.
