Dolly, I replace it weekly because the birds actually just mess it everywhere. I have it in a deep dish but somehow they still manage to get grit all over the place and empty the dish out
If I see the dish is still relatively full and without droppings in, then I leave it until the next clean. I don't think it would go off for a very long time.
