Can you tell me what size the box of Jiffy corn bread mix is that you use?

I was looking for this at the grocery earlier this week and they only had TINY TINY boxes, that made just 6 corn meal muffins! Obviously its been DECADES since I last bought the stuff, but it came in much larger boxes back then. I can't read the weight of the boxes from the pictures at

I haven't made this in quite a while myself, but I did recently pick up a couple boxes. They do seem smaller, but the size (weight) is 8.5 oz. It calls for 1 egg and 1/3 cup milk to make 6-8 muffins, and I think that is what it has always called for. I'll make some egg bread this week and see if there is any difference. It could be that they just made the box smaller, but same amount of corn meal mix.

I don't think these recipes for egg bread are written in stone anyway, as many will add various vegetables to this before baking it. I just never did, as I can always add veggies when serving the bread.

Thanks. I have become the guardian of two little rescue parakeets as well. I need to get things in order around here, LOL!
