Serious question: How do you raise your maggots? Or do you get them somewhere? I think the nice thing about mealworms is that you can store them for weeks in the fridge without problems. Where and how do you keep maggots?

most fishing bait shops/suppliers should have them and they can be kept in the fridge the same as mealworm. just make sure that the gut line is clear before feeding them to your birds

I think I'll try that... Have to find a bait shop first, but since we have a lake not too far away I should be able to find one...
