My softfood using eggs and broccoli :D
Put some millet mix with egg on the top to encourage them to try, usually, they will eat it easily :)

I can almost smell that divine eggfood cooking. I will definately try it. Wonderful pics to go along with the recipe. Thanks, Hoang!
I would like to see pics of your Greenfinches also.

Yummy! you sure this is for finches. Gosh I want to eat it. Even the broccoli looks so good and fresh (I don't like broccoli).

Thank you Hoang for sharing your receipes with great instructions. I will definately give it a try. (for the birds... although I am tempted to make a few changes and make some for myself)

"I tried it".....great recipe say the fids. =D> They gave a big thumbs up. =D> Being as how my goulds are feeding new babies, I didn't want to change their diet too drastically, so I gave them a dish of half and half, half of what they are used to and the other half of the dish the new recipe. Result, the new recipe was completely gobbled up. =D>

Thank you so much for this recipe. =D> I have been trying to get my new green singers to eat fresh food, and this morning when I removed their dish it was empty, meaning your eggfood finally convinced them to try out everything including their greens. :D

What a great idea! I will try it for my gouldians, as they don't even touch the egg-food (eggs, carrots, sprouted seeds sometimes etc.). This seems like the best thing to use for these picky eaters and they will get the protein in this way.

I don't understand some things though. Do you just roast the dehuled millet or boil it first? Do you use teflon coated pan or just inox (stainless)? Wouldn't the eggs stick to the pan or at least get burned in some way?

*here's getting ready to get out to the health food store*

I was wondering about that also. I haven't tried it yet but want to as well.

By the way, I really like your new avatar, HoangQuan! Did you draw that yourself?

Budgy, what birds to you have? It would be nice if you could tell us about yourself a little. (If you have done so in another post I apologize, I am a little stressed these days and don't get to follow up on all posts... ;-))
Walk-in aviary with Waxbills (6 Cordon Bleu, 3 Orange Cheek, 3 Black-rumped, 1 Lavender, ), 1 European Goldfinch, 4 Gouldians, 2 Spice Finches, 6 Owl Finches, 4 Budgies and 2 male Button Quail.
I also have 2 parrotlets, 3 dogs, 1 snake and 3 freshwater fishtanks.

Yeah, I toasted the hulled millet first, not boiled it. My pot is made from inox. And as I said before, to prevent the egg from sticking to the pan/pot(whatever you use :p), we must turn the mixture all around continuously and quickly. Doing all that with a real low fire and everything will be fine, nothing will be burnt :)
Ursula, I did draw that new avarta myself  , glad you like it.

I did it! :) It looks great, i used a 250 gr package of millet with 4 whole eggs (yolk and egg white) and it looks just like in your photos. I will mix it with boiled egg everyday a bit, since i added vitamin powder, spirulin etc. after cooling off. And in other days i will subsitute the millet with sprouted seeds. I hope my gouldians will feel the URGE to breed now :)
Ursula, i will introduce myself in another post, i don't want to hijack HoangQuan's post

Thanks for the idea, Hoang (i hope this is your first name, if not please excuse)

OK, Budgy. :-) I was curious if you maybe have budgies? :P

I think I have to go get some hulled millet myself this weekend!
