Re: Earth Worms anyone?
Does anyone feed live mini mealworms? My English Sparrows used to love them (four or five a day). The Javas don't want anything to do with them though.

I think I would need more than a 'glass' of wine to get into all if tha and I'm not squeemish, nor am I a drinker.

Good to know that about seed eaters. I'm thinking more of my quails for the worms. They need a high protein diet which includes buggs and beasties apparently. Which they would find on the ground. In the short term until I am confident about sterilisation issues I'm gonna go for off-the-shelf reptile bugs form the pet shop.Earthworms are nothing any finch would eat, big and wiggly and slimy - not a seedeater's forte.
If seed eaters ate worms or bugs on a regular basis could it cause them harm? Just thinking if so, I should have a separate feeding area for the quail when I feed them bugs and wormey things.
