There are so many flies in my container, that if I tap out a -'few', hundreds will spill out. Will take a picture of container to show you what I mean.

lovezebs, Yes, there will be hundreds. I guess it is a finesse thing. Just keep tapping them in the direction you want them to go. Lol

I guess I lack the touch. Problem is birds not eating them fast enough and today I'm finding them everywhere.

I give them worms everyday. I have different dishes that I offer them food in, and whenever I leave my aviary, they go to the mealworm dishes and first check to see if I put in any. Most of the time I do something else, like put in eggfood or apple and pear pieces. But the parrot finches always check for mealworms first.

My Stars were really enthusiastic about the mealies. The Parrot Finch a little bit, and the rest, nothing, they just looked .
And yet they will eat the freeze dried mealworms; when I smash them up into little bits. Go figure what's going in in their little bird brains.

So Mini meal worms, have become a success with many. The Orange Cheeks and Red Ears love them. My Yellow Headed Stars and RH Parrot love them. Cut Throat and Shaft Tail loves them. Now surprise, surprise, my Societies have started eating them, as well as my Canary boy. The only ones not at alI interested are the Zebras and my Red billed Fire Finches ( I thought they would love them).

No body was interested in the flightless flies, some of which escaped and somehow learned how to fly all over my house. They got tossed outside. Not even the wild birds wanted them.

Now, what's the deal with king worms? And other worms that one sees on sale at pet shops?
