One year diet for gouldian finches for Northern Hemisphere

Hiii everybody,

After breeding zebre finches over the years now it is time for me to start breeding goulds ,weekend i am going to have two pair of gouldians ,but i am living in Turkey so i need one year period of gouldians of dieting and it is terms like molting ,resting ,breeding which of them starting in which mounth.

and also what to know before having them .

For indoor birds where you control the environment, there isn't a real coupling between calendar month and diet. So you can do as you please. Some birds will adjust to your calendar, others seem to have a calendar of their own, maybe based on when they were hatched.

I think I read some place that you start new gouldians on the resting diet.

Because you are so far away, shipping will be EXPENSIVE. So you might try to get the seed blends for each diet and try duplicating the blends yourself. As for volume, I think resting and breeding/molting will be the most, with austere the least.

i am new at goulds but i have long past with the zebras :) i hope i can manage the goulds as i done for zebras so far but as far as i have read so far it is abit harder then zebra breeding , i have been reading for so long about gouldians ,tommrrow we have Turkey championship in here Ankara ,probable i will have two pair from local breeder .Through your experiences i am sure i will be seccesfull of it ..
