What do you mean took her back and got another bird??

It could easily have been the Tetratex that made her ill.. Tetracycline is a very strong antibiotic and if she wasn't sick at all, 2 days worth could have easily given her a yeast infection if she was otherwise healthy

I sure hope the best for that hen. I agree with Tiffany, the treatment of any antibiotic should be the last resort. If the bird was out all night she was probably just dehydrated from lack of water and weak from no food. Probably just letting her drink and eat and rest without any stress for 24 hours would have been best. You can also add electrolytes to the water for birds that are dehydrated. They will usually come around soon.
I hope you told the breeder you had treated her with the antibiotics so they could administer some probiotics.
Hope you have better success with your new hen, sounds like they like each other already

Thanks for everyone's input,
but that wasn't doing to good even
before she pulled the Houdini trick.
Her droppings were wet and all she did was puff and sleep.
I wasn't taking a chance with her dying.
