Male Gouldian's beak turning black

This is weird but it's happening to my blue back male, he's 1 1/2 year and just finished 1 clutch of 2 chicks.
His beak was bright white when he was rearing the chicks, but after the chicks weaned I noticed his beak turning black (like female getting into breeding mode) and he is a bit fluffed, but still alert and acts normally.
Any idea what is going on?

Hmmm... I have no idea, as I don't know much about gouldians. They aren't what I keep really... are you sure he's a he?
Maybe someone who knows more about gouldians can help.
Sorry nobody has posted an answer for you yet

Hi Emily,
Yes he's a boy, in fact he is on another clutch now for 5 fertile eggs with a split to blue hen. So I am expecting some blues from him (last time he gave me all normal looking chicks)
He's a black head-purple breast-blue back so it's quite easy to tell the sex. He's not fluffed but still have a black beak

Maybe he is a cross-dresser?

Albert,
That is strange. It could be a genetic "thing"...
If he's rearing chicks I wouldn't worry too much about it, unless you start to notice any other problems going on.

haha but he's actually my best breeder, got almost 100% fertile eggs and always take good care of the chicks.
He's the one that take care of my other babies after their parents abandoned them.
