A friend of mine gave me an unopened bag of seed she just bought two bags and didnt need the extra one.

Its Hagen Finch Gourmet Premium seed with fruit/veggie and egg granules
Ingredients in it are: Red finch millet, white millet, yellow finch millet, red millet, canary seed, extruded kibble (corn, dried egg, brewers rice, calcium carb) salt, vitamin suppliment, oat groats, buckweat grits, dehydrated coconut, dehydrated papaya, rapeseed, amaranth, niger seed, sesame seed, dehydrated pinapple, dehydrated carrot, anise seed and orange oil

Im wondering if this is a good seed for my gouldians and green singers?

I also stoped at the petstore and got some herb salad should I serve it on the side or sprinkle on the seed?

I haven't heard of or tried the seed, so I can't say anything about that. As far as the herb salad, I feed mine separate from the seed. Some of my birds like it, some don't. My Javas especially love it. Guess how you feed it is a matter of preference.

A group of us in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX area have a co-op for supplies from Hagen. Every other month, we place an order for seed, supplements, etc. I started out feeding the Hagen Premium finch mix, and I liked it, but I have switched to the Hagen Finch VME seed mix, which doesn't have the little colored bits. It is cheaper, and yet still good seed, my birds clean it up. It is just hard to find the Hagen seed at retailers, so this co-op has worked out very well for me. We do enough business each time that we get our supplies with free shipping. It is all shipped to one member's house, she orders, pays for it, sorts it when it comes in, and we pick it up at her house and pay her for our share. Besides seed and supplements, I have gotten seed dishes, pedi-perches, baths, etc., all at much cheaper prices.

I have used this seed mix when unable to get to my supplier, and have had absolutely no problems with it.
