[/img]Canned meal worms are great! Our insectivore finches love them and yours will too!

These are an easy alternative to live worms! No more having to keep the worms alive until you can feed them to your birds. Better than freeze-dried worms! i always feed my quail freze dried mealworms as they live outside and they use an indoor shelter attached to the aviary,and i did not want any loose mealworms on the floor so i get the dried ones and put them in a dish so that they can pick up what they want

Thats's the great thing about these worms. They're dead so you don't have to worry about them crawling away, and I just put them in a small cermaic dich for feeding them.

Your quail may like the insectivore Suet To Go as well. It's made in England so you should have no trouble finding it. We have it imported in the flruit flavor blend for my South American Red Crested and Lavendars. The great thing about Suet To Go is that the base is palm oil (great for avain health over animal fat), and it can be left out freely since palm oil doesn't get rancid like the animal fat suet.
