Is this an older style design of the Zupreem fruit blend or is it the same product that is in the current white bags with the neon colored pieces inside? Thanks for any help! :)

The members on here recommended it to me and it was pretty easy to swap my finches over to it (along with seed). It is just expensive! I have noticed that some members seem to feed it exclusively, some mix it with seed, and some just use it in their egg food blends. I have a cup of seed, a cup of Zupreem, and I mix it in the egg food. I notice that my finches finish up the seed in their cage first and then eat the Zupreem near the end of the day.

The small bags are a different color than the 10 lb bags....I order 10 lb bags from http://www.foryourbird.com/page/foryourbird/CTGY/zucar

I feed it separate or mix it with my seed mix. All my birds devour it.

Where are you located? I have ordered from other places, it might save you on shippig. Personally the site I posted is the cheapest, low postage and quick delivery time.

I am in Marietta ga. It looks like if I get 2 10 pound bags shipping will only be 13 (vs 11 for 1 bag). Even with shipping that is much better than the local 2 pounds for 7.99.

Most sites want near 29 and up for a 10 lb bag....Chase what are you seeing it for in the 10 lb size? I use to pay 19.99 for 10 lbs and now it is 21.99 plus low shipping.

Yes, I think that is an older bag design.

I get the 20 pound sack of natural finch size (XS) for about $fourty something from a local bird shop. That is cheaper than ordering + shipping.

But the store recently told me that Zupreem stopped making the natural in 20 pound sacks. Fruit flavored is still available in 20 pound sacks, but I don't want colored poop staining the perches n stuff. I just checked the Zupreem site and XS which is what I had been using is no longer listed under Natural :( So I have to go up to the Small size, and see how the bigger size works out for the birds.

Gary, I have been using the fruit blends for years, even with my Gray, lovebirds and parrotlets...no issues with staining at all. I can still get the 10 lb bags of fruit blends finch. Larger sizes are usually come repackaged.

I used the fruit blend at first, but the zebras poop was staining my perches red and orange. As you know zebras are MESSY. So I switched to the natural blend, so I would not have colored poop from the birds staining the perches.

If the size Small does not work out, I may have to order fruit blend in XS.

Although I just called the local PetClub to see if they can order LaFeber's finch food in the 25 pound box. That is even smaller than Zupreem XS. I feed my gouldians LaFeber's, so that is another option. The zebras and societies get Zupreem, I think I did that because 20 pound sack of Zupreem was cheaper than 5 pound tubs of LaFeber's.

Gary, did you ever try Roudybush Nibbles? Some of mine down that as well and it has a natural color as well.

I have a small bag of that around here some place.
I was going to try their whole line, but the only thing the local stores can get is the maintenance diet, none of the breeding food.
