Coating Spray Millet

I've seen at some pet stores they carry different fruit flavored millet as a treat. It got me thinking about possibly making my own coated spray millet, but maybe adding some vitamins to it instead of artificial flavoring. Does anyone do this?
I would probably get a small spray bottle and fill it with wheat germ oil and lightly mist the millet and then sift some a Morning Bird product on it depending on what the birds need.
I'm guessing anything not consumed withing a few hours should be thrown away.
Has anyone done sprouted spray millet?

I have not, but that is a good idea. If you go this route, wet the millet to add stuff so it sticks, like you said. I am sure it will be find a few hours

I've tried the coated store bought millets and the birds never touch them. I think it's because they become like a hardened coat over the seeds and they can't really get to them.
I think your idea is a good one and would probably work as it would be fresh and not have time to harden over the seeds as you could feed immediately.

I've tried the store coating millet & my birds don't touch it. I usually soak & sproud the loose millet seeds from the millet spray package when it's empty.

I am interested in this but what are good things to try out that the birds might enjoy? Could maybe some kind of fruit's juice end up make the millets even more of a treat?
