He guys, I have a 4 day old zebra finch. The mother or father of this little zebra finch thew it away and was lying on the bottom of the cage. I do not know what formula I should blend for him/her.
Can anyone give me a recipe that I could make for him/her.

Sorry, I have no idea, but am replying to move it toward the top. Maybe it fell out by accident. Did you try putting it back in the nest? How is it doing now?

You will need to use a formula like KayTee which you can find in most pet stores. I would as Linda suggested...try putting him back in the nest. If they toss him again you will need to keep him warm and try to hand feed him.

I also suggest putting him back in, or with fosters if possible. There are petstore that carry formulas.

Unusual for finches to toss a chick after 4 days. Were they feeding it at first? Perhaps it accidentally fell out or got dragged out by mistake. I agree with the others - warm it up by breathing on it and return it to the nest.

Hey guys, ok so, I took your suggestions and unfortunately they did not take him/her back, I do not know why. One of the parents had been feeding it but one of them threw him/her away. I went out and bought the KayTee formula thing and me and my butler is taking care of him/her.
Since I am a high school student I will not be here to take care of him/her, but don't worry my butler and one of the maids are willing to help me out on this one. We all are calling him/her "Lucky"
Thanks for the kind suggestions.

Read the various posts on hand feeding.
It is difficult and many (including me) have failed.
