Bee pollen

I was wondering who tries to feed their birds bee pollen? Do they even touch it?

I have tried mixing it in their food in the recommended amount from Morning Bird and I have tried offering it as a free choice, but no matter what they rarely touch it.

If it's in their food they fling it around and get it out of the way of the stuff they like, and if it's a free choice they ignore it.

I have read that Parrotlets will eat bee pollen because it is part of their natural diet in the wild....maybe finches don't naturally eat it....kind of like kids and broccoli.... :P

I keep seeing it in the stores but I too am not sure about it. I now there are a few wildbirds that eat honey exclusivly. Couldn't be bad but I don't think finches do it in the wild so I stray from things not natrual.
