I make my own and use a dry commercial mix! most times I combine the two. I make mine by hardboiling eggs, add bread crumbs...and mix it in food processor. Before I had one, I would grate the egg with a cheese crater and add bread crumbs, or mash egg with fork, then stir in bread crumbs. I make a couple days worth at a time, with approx. 2-3 eggs, handfull abba nestling or handfull of breads crumbs or both! Sometimes I add cous cous, or quinoa. i mash shell also for extra calcium!

If you put your location in your profile, it makes it easier to answer specific questions, as we might know more about what would be available to you. Heather has given you a way to make your own, which is also often called eggfood. Nestling food or eggfood is good for the parents to feed to the babies.

I just offer hard boiled eggs with a bit of hand feeding formula mixed in to dry it out a bit. You can really add just about anything to the hard boiled egg. If you make your own just be sure your not diluting the protein by adding a lot of low protein food items. Also offer the egg shell for added calcium.
Good luck
