I have one Gouldian pair that regularly turned their little beaks up at egg food....... Absolutely refused to eat it when they were nesting. Well, now they are not nesting, and when I gave them a bit of fresh egg food this morning, they at it like little pigs.... go figure.....

How bizarre! If they are not breeding, perhaps when they are beginning the next breeding season you could add a Society or two to their cage for a few days to encourage them to eat the eggfood. Little picky peckers!

My gouldian hen is an absolute PIG when it comes to fresh egg food. I swear she literally smells it (she DOES!!!). If I prepare it in the same room as her, she will be all over the cage walls trying to fly to where I'm at the second I crack an egg open and the smell permeates the room. Also, she always seems to go right to it and have egg literally all over her beak and everything. Unbelievable.
My birds sometimes go through phases of ignoring certain things for a while then suddenly devouring it everytime it's offered. Even if it's something you offer regularly that they reject. I would just keep trying or maybe even mix a bit of their favorite seed or mineral in with it.

Birds will change their diet at different times.
Mine would also switch from primarily egg food to primarily seeds at a certain point in the chicks development.
