I just bought some of this to try. My birds were never impressed w/Zupreen fruit kibbles & they didn't have Zupreen plain, so I bought some Roudybush Nibbles plain. Is this a good food? I was surprised to see the main (first 2 listed) ingredients were ground corn & ground wheat. Then comes peanut meal, soy oil, soy meal, & the rest of the ingredients are "big word" things.

I feed the nibbles to my birds, and they seem to like it.
Well in some cases, they don't have a choice.

Almost all my birds have been converted to pellet food.
My non-fostering societies and zebras only get Roudybush+Zupreem.
No seeds except when raising chicks.
So they eat the pellets or nothing.

I went from a seed diet to a pellet diet back to a seed diet. I picked up some samples of pellets (Mazuri and Roudybush) at a recent convention, so I'm offering small dishes of the pellets as an extra to some of the birds. Some are eating them well, others haven't touched them, but that could be because they don't know what it is. My Strawberries with the two weaned babies (which are still in the cage with the parents  ) gobbled up the Mazuri breeder blend pellets.

Come Oct, I plan on buying a ton of pellets, and my birds better take adavantage of the supply of seed I have left!!! The waste is too much.

Dante
You have to plan the conversion to pellets. It is not easy, and if you are not careful, the birds could starve themselves to death.

What's the best way to do this?

I have been giving seed, pellets & herbs to my finch and the canary, the finch picks the seed out and the canary throws the pellets on the floor!

It is much easier to convert hookbills than finches...it takes time and patience. Finches have such a high metabolism, as Dante stated if not right or the birds don't care for it they can literally starve to death.

Lorddaxter, what band are you using?

The roudybush nibbles.

Hagen gourmet finch blend mixed with canary gourmet blend, goldenfeast Australian blend and a bowl of self medicating herbs.

I also put a little bee propolis in there too:)
