How much of the Mike Fiddler sprouted seed do you give?

I have recently started using the Birds R Us Mike Fiddler sprouted seed (white seed/black seed/soft food) as a supplement to a balanced seed diet (Volkman super finch. I cant afford the shipping for the general seed Birds R Us sells). It seems to be working well for my gouldians as all four pairs have chicks or eggs! I was just wondering how much you give each bird each day? I have been giving about 1 teaspoon bird each day. Its hard for me to tell whether this is too much or too little as its difficult to determine whats been eaten and what hasn't.
There must be others out there using this system. How much do you give each day?
thanks,
Lori

When I feed sprouted seed I usually feed about a tablespoon per pair.

Hi Lori,

I posted an article on Finch Forum a few months ago that will help you out in feeding the Black/White/Softfood blend, in particular now that you've got chicks!

The First 90 Days of Life

Good luck :D

Thanks Bill. I went and read that and it looks like I should be increasing my white/black/soft amount as the chicks get bigger. I will do that. Also I started some older juveniles (just starting to color out) on the formula as well so it may be a little late for them but they seem to be doing quite well with their moult.
thanks again,
Lori
