I don't know I always just buy the freeze dried ones from Walmart in their fish supplies. my rccb love them I mix them in with their egg food I notice they pic them out first then eat the egg food. I think they are only 3.99 for the bigger bottle.

I get the Hikari brand freeze-dried bloodworms, they say it is 65% crude protein. I shop around for sales, the last order I got was from Pet Mountain. The 1.76 oz. size (which is a big can) was something around $12, then they had free shipping for orders over $75, so I ordered 5 cans, then a couple other things. That's a lot of f/d bloodworms, but I figure they keep a really long time in a vacuum-sealed can. Once you open a can, keep the lid on tight when storing, as when air gets to the f/d bloodworms, they deteriorate some.
I just checked
www.petmountain.com, and they still have this on sale--$11.65, which is way cheaper than other sites. Still doing the free shipping for orders over $75, too.

if you are extremely allergic to blood worms (freeze dried as well) ->me<-

what could you give a finch in place of that that usually likes eating those during breeding etc?
Just for future reference.

I got mine from PetSmart when they had a sale.
I should have gotten a few containers. The sale was a GOOD price.
