I just picked some up yesturday. I have never used it before, but wanted to give it a go.

Question, should I feed it alone? or should I mix it in my homemade eggfood mix?

I would mix it in egg food like you would hand feeding formula. :)

Try both; alone and mixed with your fresh egg.
I like dry egg food for when you want to leave more out and not worry about spoilage. BUT the birds have to accept it. I had some that ate it and other that ignored it.

I used to mix it in with my homemaded eggfood, but now actually just serve it in a dish as is. Nothing better than having a source of protein available at all time.

I keep my dry egg food served separately as well. That way they can have it when they want it.

One advantage to feeding the dry eggfood in a separate dish is that if your birds are used to it, then if you have to go out of town for a couple of days, you can leave a heaping dish of dry eggfood for the whole time. Fresh eggfood isn't going to stay good for a couple of days in the cage.
