I switched over my gouldians to the Mike Fidler diet and I really like it. I have kept my zebras on the regular egg food that I make but now am wondering for simplicity's sake if I could use the Mike Fidler sprouted seed instead of having to make separate egg food. I know that the Mike Fidler diet will be more expensive but I find it easy to make and use. I have my non-breeding zebras on a regular seed diet and then add egg food when I breed them. Seeing as how zebras are much hardier than the gouldians, I was figuring that the Mike Fidler diet would probably be a more than adequate substitute for the egg food I make. Any thoughts? Is anyone else doing this? I guess while I am at it, I should ask if it would also work for parrot finches and owl finches?

In my opinion sprouted seed is different then egg and would probably offer both so they would get what both foods have to offer.

My birds are fed the Birds R us diet too. I sprout the black and white seed mix and add the egg food mix to it. ( I do sieve out the safflower before sprouting and sprout it seperately for my conure) as the finches don't seem to eat much of it. All my birds love the sprouted mix and its the first to be eaten in the morning. My owls are raising chicks right now and I have been adding mashed boiled egg in a seperate bowl just to cover my bases but the sprouted mix is still their favorite.
I'm very pleased with the quality and know your zebbies would appreciate it too
