What fruits and veggies can I feed to my finches and budgies?

Here's a listing from the Finch Info Center to get you started - it lists what fruits & vegetables are safe for finches:

http://www.finchinfo.com/diet/safe_toxi ... _foods.php

The ones that immediately spring to mind are avocado is a no-no for finches, and if you feed apple, be careful to not get ANY seed in it as the seeds are poisonous to finches.

Mine enjoy romaine lettuce immensely and also sliced cucumber. They also enjoy kale, spinach occasionally, just about any type of sprout and even corn on the cob (some of them).

Thanks! Would this list work for my budgies too? Or should I look up another list?

I probably over do it on the veg, but mine get several kinds every day as well as a chitted seed. Almost every day I finely mince broccoli and red bell pepper as my stand bys. In addition I add at least one other veg such as kale, frozen corn and peas mix, and i add add fruit once or twice a week such as apple, papaya or mango.
Just recently I froze several bags of milky ripe wheat. The parrot finches like these a lot, (ok parrot finches like everything lol).

Thanks! I'll get to making a little assortment of fruits and veggies to see what they like.

They might not take to it straight away, but persevere and they'll get to love their veges.

They already eat some fresh stuff. My budgies eat carrots and from what I've seen they love broccoli too. My finches will pick at almost anything I put in their cage.
