I feed my finches seeds, rye grass, chickweed, miracle meal,
herb salad, fresh corn, greens, mealworms, cucumber, crushed
oyster shells, egg food etc....
What I am noticing is that my birds are eating less seeds.
Is this okay?

dfcauley, this is exactly why we provide a balanced diet to our birds. I also used to provide a seed only diet to when I just had zebras and was less experienced but this all changed in the last year or so when I got involved in this and other forums.
My Star Finches will not eat in the morning until I bring in their wet food and I've noticed them eating almost exclusively of this mix, my zebra and Javas still eat a lot of seed.
Seed is not the best nutritional thing you can provide your birds as I believe it contains too much phosphorus and is deficient in many nutrients and minerals.
So I guess what I am saying is that it is a good thing your birds eat less and less seed as they are eating a more balanced diet
