I purchased some dried mealworms to feed to my OC waxbills. My gouldians had never touched any kind of insect food before, so was surprised when they started eating the mealworms. I have started offering it to all my birds, and everyone is crazy about them, the dish is empty every morning. I am going through dried mealworms quickly.
Question is, should i keep offering every day, can it harm them to have too many?

I give mine dried bugs and live mealworms everyday. But they are on a large aviary and fly around all day

I bought a dried insect blend that has mealworms, crickets, flies and larvae etc and mine love it too. Mine get it daily right now, but just a teaspoon per two pair. More if there are chicks. I can't see it harming at all, especially if it is a part of balanced diet unless the birds are hogging it to the exclusion of their seed/ veg etc.
