Diet Questions

I have a couple questions about things to feed my birds. Is red leaf and green leaf lettuce good for my budgies and finches? And is the little membrane thing between the egg and the egg shell on a hard boiled egg safe to give to them?

Yes and most definitely.
The lettuce you don't want to give your birds is iceburg, there is nothing in it of any value.
The entire egg is safe and very good for your bird to eat, egg, membrane and shell.

Okay, thanks. I'll add some lettuce to the veggie mix I made yesterday. And is red kale good for them? I had never even heard of red kale until I saw some while getting some veggies yesterday.

Here's the link the the nutrition area on the Finch Information Center for safe and toxic foods:

Even some safe foods should be fed in moderation so it's best to check. Kale is one of those to fed in moderation. Not sure about red kale.
